We are pleased to announce that we will be editing the Ebbets Field volume for the historic ballparks series that is being published by McFarland & Co.

The first volume in the series was "Forbes Field Forever," we are very grateful to the series editors, Angelo Louisa and David Cicotello, as well as McFarland & Co for choosing us for this project.

The book will consist of a series of articles about Ebbets Field as well as the memories of those who played there, worked there and went there.

Some of the topics to be covered include a biographical sketch of Charles Ebbets as the owner of the Dodgers, the story of the building of the ballpark, and the cultural context within which Ebbets Field both opened and closed.

Ellen Snyder-Grenier, author of "Brooklyn - An Illustrated History" will be working on the latter topic. Alex Smith will tell the story of non-Dodger events and award winning author Ron Selter will provide detailed statistical data about the ball park. Jim Overmyer will author the chapter on black baseball at Ebbets Field.

We are interested in the experience of anyone who went to Ebbets Field in any capacity - please click the link to www.ebbetsfieldmemories.com to share your experience and for updates on the project.
